Urle is a village some 70km north-east of Warsaw lying on both sides of the the Warsaw-Petersburg railway. Before World War II it became a fashionable summer resort for Varsovians, with the Liwiec River providing respite from the heat during the summer months. A number of wooden buildings dot the forested landscape, a reminder of the village’s golden years.
