On January 9, 2024, Europa Nostra Heritage Hub in Krakow signed a cooperation agreement with the Centre of Community Archives in Warsaw. The agreement includes creating a community archive devoted to activism in the area of heritage in Central and Eastern Europe.
The agreement was signed by Katarzyna Ziętal, Director of the Centre of Community Archives, and Dr Katarzyna Jagodzińska, Head of the Europa Nostra Heritage Hub in Krakow.
The aim of the agreement is to conduct joint activities to preserve, develop, present, and promote archival collections relating to the protection, management, and promotion of heritage, with particular emphasis on the activities of non-governmental organisations and informal groups dealing with heritage. Cooperation will also encompass popularisation of community archiving. Europa Nostra Heritage Hub in Krakow plans to create a digital community archive documenting cultural and natural heritage activism in Central and Eastern Europe.
