Community Archive for Heritage Activism in Central and Eastern Europe

The Europa Nostra Heritage Hub in Kraków, in partnership with the the Centre of Community Archives in Warsaw, established and operated the “Community Archive for Heritage Activism in Central and Eastern Europe” in 2024, which ran for one year. The project aimed to document and digitise activities related to heritage activism across our part of the continent, creating a space for sharing best practices in heritage protection.

Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukrainians in Poland: Mapping and Dissemination

The project, jointly undertaken by the Jagiellonian University and Europa Nostra Heritage Hub, aims to draw attention to the need to save Ukrainian cultural heritage in the post-migration area of south-eastern Poland (Polish-Ukrainian, Polish-Slovak, Polish-Belarusian borderlands) and to take actions that would contribute to the integration and opening of this hermetic minority environment, experienced by historical traumas, rootlessness and exclusion.
