Digital heritage repository goes online

HomepageDigital heritage repository goes online

At the beginning of April 2024 the European Heritage Hub has launched the Heritage Library: a digital repository of materials on heritage across Europe. The database will be gradually expanded over time.

The Heritage Library [Heritage Library] offers a rich and multilingual collection of materials on European cultural heritage, ranging from scientific articles and case studies, through reports, guides, presentations, recommendations, to popular texts and audiovisual materials.

The platform offers a filtering system (by category, document type, language, country or publication date) enabling an efficient search of the database.

Drawing on the Five Pillars of the European Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage and the concept of the EU’s triple transformation, the Heritage Library aims to expand knowledge about European heritage by making it accessible and by sharing good practices through the use of digital technologies.

The Heritage Library does not require registration and is open to all users free of charge.

We encourage you to use the resources and to contribute to the repository by adding your own materials.

The Heritage Library is managed by the European Heritage Hub – a pilot project financed by the European Union. Our Europa Nostra Heritage Hub is an active partner of the project and is a co-creator of the Heritage Library.
