Our news

Europa Nostra Heritage Hub for Central and Eastern Europe in Kraków is a regional centre of Europa Nostra, a pan-European federation of organisations involved in the protection, management, and promotion of cultural and natural heritage in 40 European countries.

As a platform, we strengthen the voice of NGOs from Central and Eastern Europe in shaping European heritage policy.
We facilitate cooperation between civic organisations and heritage institutions in the region.
We increase the visibility of activities supporting heritage in the region.

Museums and Change: Transforming Our Institutions for the Future

ICOM-ICME International Committee for Museums and Collections of Ethnography invites for ICME 2023 Annual Conference “Museums and Change: Transforming Our Institutions for the Future”, which has been organised in collaboration with the Néprajzi Múzeum – Museum of Ethnography in Budapest, from 03-07 December 2023. The Call for Papers is open until 15th of September.

Krakow Heritage – new website

The year 2023 marks the 45th anniversary of the inscription of the Historic Centre of Krakow on the UNESCO World Heritage List. To mark the occasion, the City of Krakow has launched the Krakow Heritage website, which comprehensively presents the city’s heritage phenomena and introduces the forms of its protection.

Meeting of Kraków heritage organisations

On December 13, 2023, we inaugurated regular meetings of Kraków heritage organisations from the non-governmental sector. Their goal is to get to know each other, network, discuss topics important for civic organisations and joint projects. Thirty-three representatives from twenty-four organisations took part in the first meeting.
